PROVIDING SERVICE BETWEEN VANCOUVER ISLAND & THE MAINLAND, THESE FERRIES REPRESENT AN IMPORTANT MODERN ADDITION TO THE CANADIAN COASTAL FLEET, & A SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENT ON THE PART OF THE 3 PACIFIC COAST YARDS- ALLIED SHIPBUILDERS LTD., VANCOUVER; PACIFIC RIM SHIPYARDS, DELTA; & YARROWS LTD., VICTORIA- WHICH BUILT THE FERRIES USING MODULAR CONSTRUCTION METHODS.
