THE STAMP IS FROM THE CHAMPLAIN & ST. LAWRENCE RAILROAD, CANADA'S 1ST PUBLIC RAILROAD. IT WAS INCORPORATED IN 1832 & OPENED JULY 21,1836. IN 1857 IT BECAME PART OF THE MONTREAL & CHAMPLAIN RAILROAD WHICH WAS LEASED TO THE GRAND TRUNK IN 1864 AND FINALLY PART OF CANADIAN NATIONAL IN 1919. - Function
