Canada: A Canadian made radiosonde of type made in the 1960's for the Canadian meteorological service.
Function: Device lifted by balloon into upper atmosphere to read temperature, humidity, & air pressure & transmit data to earth. Wind speed & direction can be determined by tracking radiosonde.
Technical: A 1960's style of radiosonde controlled by a baroswitch,which has an aneroid sensor & also switches in the ceramic rod thermistor (temperature sensor) & electrolytic plastic strip hygristor, & reference resistors. These elements are housed in a cardboard housing with an outrigger & transmitter cone.
