The artifact was used by the national research laboratories in electrical engineering. - Function
-
Used to measure very low D.C. voltages (small). - Technical
-
Canada's National Research Council used a wide range of instruments from many North American firms. This instrument is often described as an electrometer which is capable of measuring current, charge, voltage and resistance. On the Keithley web site (in 2008) this model is listed with other "older" ones and a current equivalent is identified, since many of the older products are "at or near the end of their serviceable life". - Area Notes
