THE RIBBON MICROPHONE WAS A DEPARTURE FROM THE USUAL DIAPHRAGM DEVICE THAT MODIFIED THE VOICE RESPONSE BY THE FREQUENCY RESPONSE OF THESTRUCTURE, AS IT CONTRIBUTED VERY LITTLE MODIFICATION TO SOUND.
