- 'AMERICANA', 'DUAL BAND/8 TRANSISTOR' and band markings appear on radio front/'OFF LOUD' and 'AB/EP.EP.SP.' markings appear on back/ Paper label affixed inside back of radio casing bears following info.: ‘AMERICANA/ MODEL HW-820 8 TRANSISTOR RADIO, TUNING RANGE/ MW 530KC - 1650KC, SW 4MC - 12MC, 1.F. 455KC/ BATTERY 6V UM-3x4 or Similar. Civil defense frequencies/ 640KC and 1240KC indicated by symbol [?] on dial face [diagram]/ This apparatus uses invention of patents licensed by R.C.A./ AMERICANA RADIO'./ Second label (round) on component bears following information: ‘SERI/ NO/ 3262/ OA'/ Also present on this label are the number ‘2', which prefixes the printed serial number, and the letter ‘E', which appears after ‘OA'. Both have been printed by hand in black ink.
