Markings: lettering painted on face plate reads: "nova Star AIR-O-EAR VHF RADIO/vova-tech, inc./MANHATTAN BEACH, CALIF." lettering painted on underside of unit reads: "FOR MAXIMUM TRANSMITTER OUTPUT/[1.] Connect antenna and adjust antenna trimmer con[trol?]/on top dust cover (rear) for maximum [b]ulb brightness./2. Adjust final and doubler slug for maximum bulb brightness./3. Set bulb brightness to comfortable level with bulb trimmer./4. Use only Nova-Tech Type S-10 crystals to prevent severe/transmitter damage./This radio is wired for 3 antennas [and?]/transmits on the vertical whip and receives/on the OMNI antenna.
