THIS IS PROBABLY A PATTERSON FLASHING LIGHT BALLOON METEOROGRAPH, ONE OF TWO TYPES OF METEOROGRAPH USED AT COPPERMINE. IT CONTAINED PRESSURE & TEMPERATURE ELEMENTS, BOTH OF WHICH CONTROLLED SMALL ELECTRIC LAMPS. THIS IS NEITHER A RECORDING INSTRUMENT LIKE MOST METEOROGRAPHS NOR A TRANSMITTING RADIOSONDE. - Area Notes
