KARSH ORDERED THIS WIDE ANGLE 4X5 CAMERA IN 1972. IT WAS SUPPLIED WITH TWO SUPER ANGULON 90MM LENSES, THE LOWER LENS FITTED WITH A PRONTOR-PRESS SHUTTER. KARSH ALSO ORDERED A REFLEX HOOD (INCORPORATING MIRROR), WITH RUBBER FACE FITTING & MAGNIFYING GLASS, SHOWING RIGHT-SIDE-UP IMAGE. GOWLAND MODIFIED THIS CAMERA SLIGHTLY, TO KARSH'S SPECIFICATIONS. HE ALSO MADE HOODS FOR 970322 & 970323 CAMERAS INTERCHANGEABLE. - Area Notes

Lower lens housing incised "Schneider-Kreuznach11 735 487 Super-Angulon"; fitted with shutter marked "PRONTOR-PRESS". Upper lens housing incised "Schneider-Kreuznach 10 548 142 Super-Angulon". f-stops and shutter speeds also indicated. Lens cap on lower lens incised "SPIRATONE"; decal on inside reads "LENS CAP/ 67m/m / JAPAN"./.2 no markings./ PT case bears Karsh address label for Chateau Laurier Hotel, Ottawa.
