Function: USED TO PROVIDE MOTIVE POWER FOR SMALL MARINE CRAFT.
Technical: WEST BEND ALUMINUM CO. WAS INCORPORATED IN 1911. THEY MADE THE FIRST AIR COOLED OUTBOARD MOTORS WHICH WERE SOLD THROUGH SEARS BEGINNING IN 1947. THEY WERE SOLD UNDER THE "WEST BEND" AND "SHARK" NAMES. [REF 1]
