LEAR IN 1984. 8-TRACK HAD MECHANICAL PROBLEMS & BECAUSE IT HAD BEEN DESIGNED FOR AUTOMOBILE PLAYBACK IN MOVING VEHICLE, COULD NOT FAST-FORWARD, REWIND, ERASE OR EDIT EASILY.
