- Markings
- printed lettering on front face of cover reads: "First Field Dressing/Take hold of the two tabs at either corner/as indicated by the arrows: tear apart, and/remove the paper cover. Take the folded/ends of the bandage in each hand, and/keeping the bandage taut, apply the gauze pad to the wound. Detach safety pin and/fix bandage with it./In the case of head wounds, when respirators/have to be worn, care should be taken to/adjust the pad so that it does not intefere/with the fit of the facepiece./DO NOT HANDLE THE GAUZE OR WOUND/Bauer & Black, Leaside, Toronto, Ontario/JANUARY, 1943"
