Period: Uniform issued on March 23, 1948
Canada: Trans Canada Airlines (TCA) was formed by the Canadian National Railways. They launched their first flight on September 1, 1937, between Vancouver and Seattle. Throughout the next 25 years, TCA became Canada's national airline, and on January 1, 1965, TCA changed their name to Air Canada. The pilot, co-pilot and radio officer wore military style uniforms that were navy blue for winter and beige-khaki for summer. This was the first uniform issued by TCA and was worn until the mid to late 1950's. Early TCA uniform were converted military uniforms. Uniform belonged to Mr. Sam Grosman (97027)
