One of the oldest Union group exisiting in Canada. One group exisiting in the United States since 1887 and one in Canada created in 1892 called United Brotherhood of Railroad Trackmen decided to amalgamate in 1899 to become the International Brotherhood of Maintenace of Way Employees. as of 2004, the Brotherhood is no longer the union representativew for the CP maintenance of way employees. As for the CN employees, there will be an impending vote to decide whether they join the Teamsters or remain with the Brotherhood. As of 2004, the Belleville Lodge still exists and the Brotherhood still exists in the US. L'un des plus anciens groupes syndicaux existant au Canada. Un groupe existant aux États-Unis depuis 1887 et un autre au Canada créé en 1892 appelé United Brotherhood of Railroad Trackmen décidèrent de fusionner en 1899 pour devenir la Fraternité internationale des employés de l'entretien des voies. Depuis 2004, la Fraternité n'est plus la représentation syndicale des employés de l'entretien des voies du CP. En ce qui concerne les employés du CN, il y aura un vote imminent pour décider s'ils rejoignent les Teamsters ou restent dans la Fraternité. - Small cloth embroidered reversible badge with a red, white and green background and golden coloured text. The badge has a gold coloured outline and gold tassels at the bottom. The front of the badge has a grey steel crest that is being held up by small metal chains attached to the top of the badge. Also connected to the chains are a cream coloured sign with a job title on it, a small pendant-like steel circle and a grey horizontal piece of steel covering the top of the badge. The top of the back of the badge has a metal clip-on pin. The back of the badge has a black background with white text. Petit insigne réversible brodé en tissu avec un fond rouge, blanc et vert et de l'écriture doré. L'insigne à une bordure orée et des glands orées au bas de l'insigne. Le devant de l'insigne a un écusson en acier gris retenu par de petites chaînes métalliques attachées au sommet de l'insigne. Les chaînes sont également reliées à un panneau de couleur crème avec un titre de poste, un petit cercle en acier en forme de pendentif et une pièce d'acier horizontale grise recouvrant le haut de l'insigne. Le derrière de l'insigne à une épingle en métal. Le derrière de l'insigne à un fond noir et de l'écriture blanche.
