Carmel Sapiano was the producer of two radio programs called 'This is Canada Calling' and "News from Canada'. These programs, which carried reports about the Canadian Maltese community, were broadcast in Malta on the Rediffusion network. The tape recorder was used by Mr. Sapiano to record several interviews, with the aim of being able to play them back on his radio programs.
