CAE is a Canadian company that dates back to just after the Second World War. The development of the CAE Air1 Ventilator was in response to the Canadian government’s call to industry to contribute to the fight against COVID-19. This respirator was the first such technology to receive certification from Health Canada during the pandemic. This made-in-Canada ventilator is made up of over 500 parts which come from 130 Canadian suppliers and since then, the company has developed 8,200 ventilators. CAE est une compagnie canadienne qui date depuis la Deuxième Guerre Mondiale. Le développement du CAE Air1 Ventilateur était une réponse aux demandes du gouvernement du Canada pour de l'aide à combattre la COVID-19. Ce ventilateur la première technologie à recevoir la certification de Health Canada durant la pandémie. The unique feature of the Air1 ventilator is the large touch-screen display. The large display allows for the data to be read and recorded by medical personnel from further away and does not require entry into the patient’s room, saving PPE and staff time. The Air1 also uses either room air or pressurized oxygen, an important factor in the event of a shortage in the latter. La caractéristique unique du ventilateur Air1 est qu'il y a un affichage a écran tactile très large. L'écran dune telle taille permet pour la lecture des données et l'enregistrement de ces données par la personnelle médicale d'une distance supérieure. Ceci fait en sorte que la personnelle n'a pas besoin de rentrer dans la chambre d'un patient et ça gagne du temps ainsi que des ressources de EPI. - A power cord with a grey synthetic body and purple synthetic plug adapters at both ends of the cord. One adapter is male and one adapter is female. The male plug has three metal prongs as well as lettering. The female plug has three metal holes as well as lettering. Un câble d'alimentation fait avec un matériel synthétique de couleur grise. Le câble a deux prises faites en matériel synthétique de couleur mauve. Une prise est mâle et l'autre est femelle. La prise mâle à trois fourches faites en métal ainsi que du lettrage écrit dessus. La prise femelle a trois trous en métal et du lettrage écrit dessus aussi.
