- CA Ltd - Nick Hakola suffered crushed foot in rockfall in mine and was transported by airplane from Treadwell Yukon mine to Noranda Hospital a distance of 80 miles. Part of foot was amputated to prevent spread of infection. Pilot was P H Lymburner of Canadian Airways
