- Caption
- An historic picture of special interest. Pilot Walter fowler receiving the mail from Mr Saunders, Post Office Inspector, PEI and Magdalens, and local Postmaster, Charlottetown. Captain Fowler will fly the mail in a deHavilland Puss Moth on skis, from the harbour ice in Charlottetown to the Magdalens. The 'piece de resistance' is the waterproof suit furnished Pilot Fowler so that he might be able to float in the icy waters of the Gulf if obliged to ditch en route.
