- Robert Bell and several residents came together and Kemptville station was built in 1854 as a way to transport goods and produce to and from Ottawa. Canadian Pacific railway who was partnered with Bytown Railway rebuilt the rail line in 1884 in which the Kemptville Station was located on property which is currently Bridge and Wellington Streets.
