- War record - Quantity production is now underway on the two-pounder anti-tank gun. There are 500 pars in each of these weapons and their manufacture requires a high degree of skill. The gun, which costs close to $7,500, fires an armour-piercing shell designed to rip into the interior of a tank or destroy its metal tracks. More than 2,000 workmen are employed in the two plants producing them.
