- The rock plug between Marmion Lake and Raft Lake is seen over the man-cut gorge between Raft Lake and Finlayson with the spillway to delay Marmion's flowing in centre area; then the explosion of 7,000 cubic yards of rock go sky high. Huge boulders fell for half a mile around, but much of the rock disintegrated in heat of 30,000 pound dynamite charge. It took water bore six minutes from second of explosion to fill cut and reach a height where it tumbled over the spillway.
