- G.T.W. - Railroad car production takes study - since 1923, the Grant Trunk Western has been conducting classes for apprentice car builders at Port Huron, and currently has a class of 12 veterans of World War II learning shop business. These men study two hours a week under a four-year program which, together with the practical experience they acquire in the shops during the course, will qualify them as pipe fitters, car builders, machinists, upholsterers, sheet metal workers or blacksmiths. The picture shows a class session under the direction of James A. Robbins, instructor, pointing to the chart.
