Other titles: "How are you getting along, Gene" - and Fred Sloman teached on the Canadian School on Wheels encourages his pupil Gene Latendress in his own friendly fashion. Desks are fold away styles and vary in size for the different aged pupils. The number vary with the size of the class at each stopping point. Ample space is provided for desk study and recreational and educational games. The teacher has a desk at the front of his class but other than that general appearance with standard classrooms is noticeably different. Every inch of the car is used, blackboards slide aside to reveal maps and illustrated boards. Many original ideas have been installed by Mr. Sloman who has been with the car since it first rolled out in 1927.
