- General view of the front of the Canadian National Railways Y.M.C.A. at Hornepayne, Ontario built by the Railway and began operation in May 1950. It was officially opened in September of that year. It has 35 double rooms with single beds, wardrobes, and cupboards; two reading rooms, a kitchen and dining room with a large refrigerated space and a gas stove, a "Tuck Shop" and a lending library; and a fully equipped laundry room. A first anniversary banquet is being planned in October of 1951 to fete the "Y" for its first very successful year of operation in the railway town.
