- Crews change en route but the giant diesel locomotive pushes on through the night on the fast freight run between Montreal and Toronto. Stops at divisional points allow the engine and train crews to change; the caboose is dropped and usually some cars are dropped or picked up in the yards. Then the fast freight is given orders and it pushes on again. Here Engineer Ed Hone climbs down at Brockville where Engineer Art Cole and Fireman Ted Hay will take over until Belleville.
