- Next shots show party inspecting the cleared right of way outside Sherridon camp. The party is strung out in bush setting. The first mile to Charlotte Lake was inspected by the President and party. The right of way is cleared of bush and trees but not stumps. He inspected sections where as much as 15 feet of fill would be needed and where rock cuts would be necessary, also where bulldozers would lower mounds. To date a total of five and one half miles of right of way have been cleared in various sections of the project. The clearing is feet wide, Spruce, jackpine, poplars and some birch have to be removed. Work is done by men with axes. Stumps will be removed later by bulldozers where necessary but a lot will be covered with fill. Average fills will be five to fifteen feet. Rock formation is mostly granite and gneiss.
