- Scope and Content
- Item is a black and white photograph that shows a view of Camp 10 from the North, toward the Churchill graveyard and Churchill River. An unidentified child is visible in the photograph. Camp 10 is the name of the area where Sayisi Dene were moved in 1959, after their forcible reloaction in 1956. The government-built houses at Camp 10 were completely exposed and close to the cemetery. They had no heat or running water. They were intended to be temporary, but it took a decade before another relocation.
