Part of a collection of refrigeration parts and service items from Dr. G. Leslie Oliver. Dr. Oliver added to and documented a collection begun by his late father, of household and automobile technology. Dr. Oliver's father, T.H. Oliver established a refrigeration & electric service business in Aurora, Ont. 1924, the first and oldest such organization in York Region. In 2000, the business was sold but continues to operate under the T.H. Oliver name.

Underside of tin reads "PURE/ HIGHLY MEDICATED/ For External and Internal Use/ DIRECTIONS. For Cuts, Burns, Sores and/ other similar affections, apply thoroughly/ once or twice a day as required. To help re-lieve Catarrh or Cold in Head, rub forehead/ vigorously, apply to nostrils and upon retiring snuff/ it up into the head. Coughs and colds, melt and rub/ on chest and throat and cover with soft flannel. False/ Croup, rub it liberally on throat and chest and apply hot/ flannels; to aid breathing and relieve congestion, di'/solve and swallow a piece half the size of a pea./ Earache, put small piece on cotton and insert in/ ear.
