- Paper label glued to inside of case lid reads "The FIBRE in this case has been tested and found within the limits/ of sensitivity and optical excellence. The record of test of this fibre is/ shown on the photograph enclosed. Owing to the use of this fibre, its/ construction is necessarily of a delicate nature and we cannot be respon-/ sible for its safe delivery. We recommend, therefore, that immediately/ upon receipt of this package, the fibre be tested and if found broken that/ it be promptly reported to Transportation Company, against whom claim/ should be made./ Taylor Instrument Companies/ Taylor- Cambridge Div." UHN catalogue no. "X969.6.15 B" printed by hand in white ink on case back, below right hinge.
