- Caption below the pictures reads: "NEVER IN THE FIELD OF HUMAN CONFLICT WAS SO MUCH OWED BY SO MANY TO SO FEW"; letteing on lower border at centre reads: "THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN"; lettering inside area surrounding the pictures contains the names of 2944 pilots, including approx. 100 Canadians, who took part in the Battle of Britain; signatures hand written in ink of Air Chief Marshal Harding & Air chief Marshal Foxley-Norris; number hand written in pencil at lower left corner reads: "16/125".
