Kodak Canada was founded by Eastman Kodak in 1899 in a Toronto shop where employees cut sheet film and fitted lenses on cameras to support the growing potential for a photographic market in Canada. As Canadian interest in photography grew, the company expanded across the country throughout the 20th century to produce in all aspects of photography including still and movie cameras, film, x-ray film, photocopy paper, and photographic chemicals under many popular names including Brownie, Kodacolor, Carousel, and Supermatic. Technical
This is a box type camera that uses 620 roll film with a fixed focus Kodet lens f15, Kodar f8 viewing lens, and I and B shutter settings. The camera produces 2 ¼ x 2 ¼ inch images and has a lens hood. Styled like the Duaflex model III, the IV is modified to accept the Kodalite Flasholder, also used on the Brownie Hawkeye Flash Model and other Kodak models. The model IV has double exposure prevention. A cheap imitation of a Voigtlander Brilliant camera, it is a pseudo twin lens reflex (TLR).
