Worth./Dear Sir:/This letter is rather late in reaching you, but as the old adage,/it is better late than never, I write you these few lines on behalf of/the people of Frost, and the Chamber of Commerce of which I happened to be/the secretary, extending to you their heartiest thanks for you (sic.) kindness in/making a flight over our town and bombing the town of Blooming Grove with/literature for the benefit of the Red Cross. Your distributing circulars/in Blooming Grove stimulated the people of that district to such a point/that when the turkey was auctioned off last Saturday it brought $802/05,/the proceeds to go for the benefit of the local Red cross. To about half/the population your flight was the first ever seen, and in fact, to many,/it was their first time to ever have the privilege of seeing an airship./The cadet that was compelled to land here left behind him many warm firends./Your presence in the city, together with that of your companions, brought/forth the highest praise from our people, as it was the talk of the town/as to your perfectly gentlemany (sic.) conduct and your extreme politeness./Again allow me to thank you on behalf of the people of Frost and the/Chamber of Commerce for your kindness xx(sic.) shown, and you may rest assured/there is a warm welcome always awaiting you and your companions within the/portals of this little city./Yours very truly,[signature in ink] James E.
