P series of Minolta 16 mm cameras was oriented towards amateur market. Minolta 16-P is identical to 16-Ps except that Ps has speed selection lever next to lens. See 830209 (Minolta 16-P), 811020 (Minolta 16), 830218 (Minolta 16-II).
