CONSISTS OF EXHAUSTED GLASS CYLINDER WITH ELECTRODES AT EACH END & FLUORESCENT COATED SCREEN WITH SLIT MOUNTED LENGTHWISE WITH SLIT NEAREST NEGATIVE ELECTRODE. IN MAGNETIC FIELD, LUMINOUS LINE IS BENT EITHER UPWARD OR DOWNWARD, DEPENDING ON POLARITY OF MAGNET (REF. 1-2).
