Canada: Paquin Co. was one of the few "independent" Canadian photographic equipment manufacturers who produced well-constructed, reasonably priced enlargers.
Function: General: Used to project the image of a negative on to sensitized paper to make a positive print. By adjusting the distance between lens and paper, the desired degree of enlargement of the image is obtained. Specific: Condenser type uses one or more condenser lenses to direct light from lamphouse in parallel rays through the negative.
Technical: Example of 1930's condenser type enlarger of Canadian manufacture. It is claimed that no two enlargers provided by Paquin were the same.

Missing: Complete. Very good, original condition.
Finish: .1 Black crinkle finish on all metal parts except support rod and knov which is chromed. Wooden base is varnished. .2-.3 Swirled pattern on shiny metal.
