Used to remove stones from cherries or some types of olives. - Technical

This convenient device makes easy work of pitting cherries. Simply place the cherry in the recessed holder and squeeze the handle to press out the pit. The handle fits the hand and thumb nicely, the spring-loaded hinge pops back open after each use, and a handle lock keeps it closed for compact storage. Made of lightweight but strong zinc alloy with chrome plating, it measures about 5-3/4" and is dishwasher safe. Great for preparing cherry desserts or garnishes, it is also effective with some types of olives. [Ref. 1] - Area Notes
