According to the Lost Villages Historical Society, D.H.C. Smitth, the donor of this incubator, operated a hatchery in Wales, Ontario. Wales is one of the nine 'lost villages' that were permanently flooded to construct the St. Lawrence Seaway. Smith rebuilt his hatchery near Ingleside. - Function
