THIS GALLEY HAS A THREE SECTION RIM. THE BRASS FRAME WORK OF THE RIM COVERS AN INNER WOODEN RIM (PROBABLY DONE TO MAKE THE GALLEY LIGHTER IN WEIGHT). THE RIM IS ATTACHED TO THE CASE BY SCREWS WHICH RUNS ALONG THE OUTSIDE EDGES OF THE BASE, PLUS ONE ON EACH SIDE. - Area Notes
