Canada: Original use in Saskatchewan unknown, but likely used as a press camera based on 4x5 format, and generic use of speed graphics. (ref.1)
Function: A cable attached to the shutter release of a camera, allowing the photographer to open the shutter without disturbing the cameras position during long exposures.
