- Thermometer scale at top divided 0- 130 in increments of 2, and labelled at intervals of 10 degrees; scale labelled "Fahrenheit." Scale for specific gravity of milk labelled "Lactometer [illegible] Quevenne.". Blue band marked "Skim Milk" and divided from 1/10 to 5/10: these divisions recorded to left of, and with reference to, quevenne scale divided (from bottom) 40 to 15 in single increments, and labelled at intervals of 5. To right is scale labelled "Pure Milk" divided from 1/10 to 5/10: this with reference to range 15- 29 of quevenne scale. / "LACTOMETER" handwritten on PT case.
