The Concise 28N slide rule is still being made in 2011 and can be purchased through the company's web site. This is the most popular circular slide rule for standard English use. On the front are scales D, C, CI, A, K, used to make general calculations such as multiplication, division, proportion, square root and cube root. The back side includes various kinds of conversion tables for area, cubic volume, weight, temperature, pressure, velocity, etc. Concise Co. Ltd. was established in July 1954 as a manufacturer of circular slide rules (Ref. 2).
