The sticker has been designed to protest developments of nuclear power. It refers to a nuclear accident at the Fukushima Daiichi site. “Remember Fukushima” is a global, annual protest event held on the anniversary of the disaster. It is held in major cities across the world, including Canada, and has large social media presence. “Remember Japan” message, although directly related to the campaign, also alludes to associations between military research, nuclear bomb, and peaceful applications of nuclear technologies.
