Function
Triodetic system samples show the function, look and weight of the system it creates. The system is usually made of aluminum keyways (connectors) and aluminum or steel tubes. The hub can contain up to 8 slots for 8 different tubes. The system makes it possible to build a plethora of structures such as bridges, domes, shelters, space frames, tents, railing, etc.
Technical
The Triodetic systems are made of a particular Canadian patent which consist of a serrated aluminum keyway (connector) where galvanized tubing with coined edges fit into the keyway. The system allows structures to be lightweight but strong. Most orders from Triodetic are custom made which means it is possible to build virtually any kind of structure imaginable. Most Triodetic structures can be built/assembled by the customer with very few basic tools and no prior training. Due to the easy slip-tube-into-connector system, all structures can easily be shipped in boxes and assembled on site. No heavy equipment or machinery and skilled labour is required.
