- Hornepayne, Ontario is one of the Canadian National Systems divisional points. The town is a railway town. About 90% of the people there work for or depend on the railway for their livelihood. But it is a long way from a large centre and a long way from home for a lot of the railroaders who operate out of there. Rae Davidson, student brakeman, figures out from the station sign how far it is from Port Arthur and the family.
