- "How is that for a hand", asks Nick Rezka of Edward Janiski. Nick has a loaded hand in a crib game with Clarke Allen, Brakeman, of Winnipeg. Edward Janiski is writing home to Transcona, Manitoba. The "Y" encourages letters home by providing paper and envelopes and comfortable writing desks. Cards, cribbage boards, chess and checkers, are all available for the railroaders who make use of the building during their rest between runs on the Canadian National.
