- Markings
- "PATENTED/ OCT 9, 1880 MAR 13, 1881" cast on brass plate fixed to head. "45 KW 500 VOLTS/ NO/ 253" also recorded on plate. "MC-3-2" printed on red dymo label applied to rectangular wood block on generator coil top. "CANADIAN/ GENERAL ELECTRIC/ COMPANY LIMITED/ PETERBOROUGH WOR[KS]/ ONTARIO" appears in raised print on cast metal plate originally fixed to opposite side of generator head [now loose; marked PT].
