Function: COMBINATION DRILL AND COUNTERSINK USED TO DRILL A HOLE IN THE CENTRE OF WORK [PIECE/MATERIAL] WHICH IS TO BE TURNED BETWEEN CENTRES IN A LATHE.
Technical: EXAMPLE OF A CENTRE DRILLUSED IN A LATHE. A COMBINATION DRILL AND COUNTERSINK, IT IS COMMONLY USED TO DRILL AND REAM THE CENTRE HOLE [IN MATERIAL BEING LATHED] TO FIT THE LATHE CENTRE. ALL LATHE CENTRES ARE MADE WITH A 60-DEGREE ANGLE. (REF. 3)
