The stereo was purchased by the donor’s father, Frank Kasnas, on one of his many trips to Montreal as a Metropolitan Life Insurance Canada agent. Technical: The manufacturer makes a point to advertise that this stereo is “all transistor” meaning that there are no vacuum tubes and helps show the industry’s transition towards solid state transistors. Type sample of a mid-60’s player used when 16 RPM records made a brief appearance.
