- "HELIANTHUS,/ OR, SUNFLOWER MAMMOTH RUSSIAN" and "PRICE 5 CENTS" printed on package front; "MAMMOTH/ RUSSIAN SUNFLOWER./ Grows five or six feet high with very large heads,/ some growing twelve or fifteen inches across them./ They are grown for arbors or trellises. The seeds/ are very beneficial to feed fowl./ CULTURE. - Sow the seed as early in Spring as the/ ground can be easily worked, in rows 2 1/2 feet apart, leaving plants 2 feet apart in the row./ Put up by A.L. FISHER, Brockville, Ont." printed on reverse. Parks Canada catalogue no. "x.71.160.170 P1" printed by hand in pencil in lower right corner of package back.
