- Timbal of noodles Grand-Mère. Cook in boiling water for 15 minutes 2 lbs. of noodles, drain and put in sauce pan, add one beaten whole egg, four ounces diced American cheese. Salt and pepper, pinch of nutmeg, 8 ounces butter, mix and mould in tin or earthen pot. Cook for 20 minutes in bain marie. Unmould the timbal and serve over tomato culi with mushrooms.
